Role and Facility Information

Brand New Clinic Opening 2026

The Future of Primary Care: Why Clinic Infrastructure Matters

Primary care clinics are the backbone of the healthcare system, yet most are built on physician risk, thin margins, and outdated systems. Across BC, operating costs are rising while support structures are shrinking. The result is burnout, admin overload, and clinic closures.

Our team was built to solve that problem.

Our Nanaimo clinic is designed as modern primary care infrastructure, not just office space. The goal is simple: you practice medicine at the top of your license, while systems handle everything else.

What That Means for You

You are busy immediately
Large unmet demand in Nanaimo
Panel builds quickly
No ramp-up stress

Maximum Clinical Support

Strong MOA-to-provider ratios
Dedicated billing team
Central IT, HR, accounting, and operations
Nurses supporting screening, recalls, procedures, and chronic care workflows

AI-Enabled Workflow

AI documentation tools
Automated recalls and patient messaging
Integrated e-fax and referral systems
Less charting at home. More life outside work.

Minor Procedures & Scope Flexibility

Women’s health, procedures, chronic care, focused interests
You shape your scope based on what you enjoy

Why a 70/30 Split Makes Sense

You may see ads promising higher splits. In smaller clinics, that often means you are also:

Your own admin

Your own IT department
Your own billing team
At Terra Nova, your overhead funds infrastructure that produces time, efficiency, and sustainability.

Physicians Consistently Report:

✔ Leaving on time

✔ Taking real vacations

✔ Lower burnout

✔ Higher long-term retention

Schedule & Lifestyle

Fully flexible scheduling
Hybrid model (clinic + virtual care)
Minimal home-call (~2 weeks per year)
No required evenings or weekends
Cross-coverage system so you can take up to 10 weeks of vacation

Compensation

70/30 split (FFS, LFP, or PCN)
Typical earnings: $350K–$500K+ depending on scope and volume
Relocation assistance
Immigration and CPSBC licensing support
Supervision available for provisional candidates

Why Nanaimo?
